Azat Reservoir is a different kind of stop on the Garni Geghard route. Nothing here asks for a long explanation: there is water, dry hills, a wide sky and enough silence to make the road feel slower. After Garni Temple, Garni Gorge or Geghard Monastery, the reservoir gives the day a softer pause.

The shore opens into long lines of water and stone, and in clear weather the colors are simple but memorable: blue, beige, silver, then a little gold near sunset.
